Guided wave radar level gauge, a type of liquid level measurement instrument in the chemical industry. The guided wave radar level gauge is a radar level gauge based on the Time Domain Reflectometry (TDR) principle. The electromagnetic pulse of the radar level gauge travels at the speed of light along the steel cable or probe. When it encounters the surface of the measured medium, part of the pulse of the radar level gauge is reflected to form an echo and returns along the same path to the pulse emission device. The distance between the transmitting device and the surface of the measured medium is proportional to the propagation time of the pulse in between, and the liquid level height is calculated.
